I hope that this place turns out to be ahead of the curve with the location and more good food spots pop up in the area. That said, it is rough from the outside, with the front window right on McDowell Rd. Once inside, however, great things happen. The atmosphere is casual and hip. It is short order, with payment at the time of ordering. Staff has always been nothing but friendly to me.
Behind the front counter you can see them hand making all of the baked goods, which are delicious. The croissants are flaky and crispy just as they should be, and the biscuits are crumbly with a pleasing crunch on the outside. The green chile with biscuits and eggs is my go to. You get a very good sized breakfast made fresh from scratch for right around $10.
The back patio (back yard) is a unique and appealing feature. Step into the yard and instantly forget that McDowell Rd is 50 feet away.
