What had the makings of an unpleasant evening turned into a very pleasurable dining experience.
First, the positives:
1) gnocchi in pesto appetizer was awesome
2) food came out piping hot (and not the plate), love it
3) staff/manager came by multiple times after receiving our dinners to check on us
4) really like the well lit dining room including decor
5) wife had spaghetti w/meat sauce - appeared to have dissected a meatball or 2 for the sauce
The negatives:
1) took almost 10 minutes from being seated to having someone stop by the table to take a drink order (I understand busy, but my rule is if someone doesn't at least acknowledge your presence within first 10, roll out, was very close)
2) I had the jambalaya, and while shrimp/chicken were well represented, sausage was non-existent
Overall, will certainly return, too many appetizers to attempt and too little stomach availability on this visit.
