This restaurant is located in the Southpark area and certainly upholds the upscale atmosphere that one would expect. Reservations are not required, but highly recommended if you want a table in a timely manner. The hostess said that they only reserve part of the restaurant, but based on how busy they were on a Wednesday night, I can imagine that wait times could get lengthy on the weekends.
I ordered a wine on the menu and was disappointed to discover that they did not have this wine, nor had they had it for the past 2 months. There wasn't a comparable substitute so I was left with the option of ordering a different (less preferred wine) or going without- gasp. Of course, I went with the substitute as this was my first baby-free meal in a month. I ordered the American Kobe Steak and it was amazing; my husband had the Scottish Salmon and he was also very impressed. Everything was well cooked and came out very fast given how busy the restaurant was. Very nice to be at a restaurant that has it together time wise. The chocolate chip cookie, comes out in a cast iron skillet and is to die for. Seriously a must have and worth every calorie!
This is definitely an upscale restaurant- all of the staff were in all black, with pearls and red lipstick. Everyone was very professional but slightly cold. There was not a lot of personality nor did anyone really engage with us, heck, I would have been thrilled with a smile after the initial greeting. Overall, the food made up for what the staff is lacking in personality. We will definitely be back.
