  • When I dropped my clothes off for mending I walked through each article of clothing and what was expected to be done with each item. The woman said that each repair would be around $3, so for 8 items $24. But when I went to pay I was charged a ridiculous amount. $10 to sew two buttons on. $5 each for sewing a small hole in a sock, and sewing a one inch in length seam on a sweatshirt. Two pairs of shorts had holes in each back pocket so the woman folded them up past the hole and just sewed the pocket off, not a difficult thing to do also $5 each. When I confronted her that she told me the pricing would be under $5 and closer to $3 she said that she had to take into account the "extra" work on each item to even it out, and that she didn't charge me "tax." How she decides not to charge a person tax is beyond me but ultimately I will never use this place again, for any service.
