| - Losing our cat, Minnie, was very tough. She was my best friend for 17 years and had been through many moves and life changes with me. She was truly like a family member. When she became ill, and we found out it was pancreatic cancer, it was very tough to deal with. Our vet offered supportive care, but, unfortunately was unable to get us in soon enough for an appointment to let Min go, when the time came. We looked up in-home euthanasia services and chose Gentle Journeys. We contacted another service first, but the dr. was out of town for a week, and I didn't want to make Min wait that long. Through Gentle Journeys it was very easy to schedule an appointment and pay online. I liked that being so easy, because I had a lot on my mind. The later evening appointments were very helpful, too. It allowed me to spend some last quality time with Min before letting her go. The doctor, Dr. Tiffany, was very kind and caring. She really treated Minnie with respect, and I really appreciate that. She answered all our questions and made sure we were prepared for what she was going to do, and what we may expect during the process. That eased some fear for sure. Again, I can't say enough about how kind Dr. Tiffany was to Minnie, and that was so beautiful. Letting my Min go with the respect she deserved, and in her own home, where she was most comfortable, was really beautiful. Losing a loved one is not easy, but I think the services Gentle Journeys offers really help make it as peaceful and respectful as possible.
