| - Quoted $89 over the phone to clear my backed up sewer line. Dug up my line in the middle of my front yard and broke the clay pipe, he did this without consulting with me first (I was at home), he did not ask if there was an existing clean-out, he did not ask me if I had a crawl space or basement to find it, he simply got out his shovel and started digging. When he finished digging and breaking the line, he cleaned the blockage and then told me my line was broken and that it would need to be repaired for an extra $436 (total $525). This was on a Friday, he told me he would be back on Monday or Tuesday to install the repair and new clean-out. He didn't have anything to cover the hole he dug and suggested I find something, all I had was a 2x4 to at least mark it so no one would fall in and break their leg. He did not show up the whole week until I went to his house (his business is run out of his house, no office or shop) the next Friday to make sure he showed up after my bath tub began filling up around my ankles again because of the leaves falling in the hole. He said he was planning on coming that day but if I had not been there, he would not have been able to turn the electrical outlet on outside to use his machine to clear the new blockage, he said he didn't know it was blocked again. Not the brightest bulb in the drawer, if not dishonest as well.
