  • Great food -- truly spicy if you want it (many other Thai restaurants are afraid to make it spicy because they're worried us gringos can't handle it). One of the pleasant surprises was that the person who answered the phone & took my order-to-go information spoke perfect English, which reassured me that my order would be understood over the phone. Now, the location is... both fascinating & creepy. I was there at about 4:30PM on a Saturday, and the massive strip-mall was mostly devoid of life, save for a few areas. Made sense once I saw that many of the strip mall storefronts looked abandoned. Entering the mall area off of Charleston Ave, Komol is on the far side, and strangely, it's right next door to another Thai (/Chinese) restaurant! If you're the type that gets nervous in 'ghetto' areas, you'll certainly want to avoid Komol at night. As for me, I am extremely curious as to what that mall looks like at night. The food was good, but I get Thai food a couple times a month & am continuing to try new places to find one that really stands out above the rest. I certainly will be happy to order from Komol again if I'm in the area & wanting Thai food, but in terms of flavor & value, the items that I had didn't stand-out above most other Thai restaurants in the LV & Henderson areas that I've tried.
