  • Went to the Lakewood location in September 2016 after moving to the area. The Dr. I saw was perfectly nice, however, I did not feel the exam was very thorough. My peripheral vision was not even checked. They did not warn me prior to the appt that they typically dilate eyes. If I had known, I certainly wouldn't have driven myself! My real complaint, however, is their follow up. When I was there they asked me my preferred method of communication and encouraged me to use their online portal for communication, which I did the next day. I emailed my Dr. a question about my prescription as based on what I know about my eyes, I did not feel was correct. I got no response. I waited a few days, and messaged again. At that point I decided I probably wasn't going to go back anyway, so I gave up on the contact. I received a voicemail in FEBRUARY 2017, from my Dr, stating she was calling regarding the message...yes, the message I sent in SEPTEMBER 2016. Do not encourage me to use your portal if you have no intention of using it yourself, and then certainly, do not leave me a voicemail that you are returning my message from 5 months ago without saying "I'm so sorry it has taken me 5 months to get back to you!" I did not return the call, as it is much to late, and I will be returning to my previous, wonderful doctor, even though he is now quite a distance from me.
