Oh how I love the Sleepy Poet. Hubs and I visited today to see if they still had the dinning room table that we spotted about a month ago. This place is the ultimate place for all things antique, vintage, shabby/chic and old world! The staff was, again, extremely helpful.
We walked back to the section of the store where the table was and to much gloom and doom it was gone. I knew I should have bought it when we saw it. So we decided to walk around to see if anything else would jump out at us. We walked through a few isles and as I came to the end of one isle and turned the corner, it was like the heavens opened and I could hear angles singing. There was the table that I had saw about a month ago. I squealed and did a tap dance jig and my Hubs laughed. (I'm a geek) A lady that has a spot there came to talk to us and told us who owns the table and asked if we have ever been here before. We said that this was our second time and she proceeded to tell us the tricks to get a better deal on my beloved table. I thought that that was super nice. She didn't have to do that. She had her own space with items in it. Very very sweet!
You can find all kinds of gems in this place. Cool vintage water jugs, old-school cameras (which i adore) quilts, tables, chairs, clothes, paintings....on and on. They bargain with you so don't be afraid! Worst thing they can do is say no and it never hurts until you try!
