While the food was definitely high quality, I found it a little overpriced. I have had my share of Indian food and while it was certainly delicious, there's no reason for the jacked up prices.
Service was OK but we did have to remind them for water refills and they also forgot the extra chutney sauce we asked for.
Samosa chaat: ok but underwhelming. Definitely overpriced. They are stingy with the amount of samosa and it could have used more tamarind chutney and yogurt.
Dhaba chicken curry: my least favorite. Not flavorful and really boring. Maybe if I asked for the dish to be extra spicy it would have tasted better.
Dhaba lamb curry: decent! We ordered it mild but it had a deep hearty flavor.
Kashmiri chicken tikka masala: the star of the night! I ordered it to be 10/10 spicy but it was more like 3/10 spicy. Still delicious and my absolute favorite.
Rice pudding: very yummy and a nice way to end the meal. This was the free dessert that came with the Yelp check in deal. I was expecting gulab jamun honestly but this was a nice surprise.
Again, like I stated, none of the dishes were bad. In fact, they were very high quality and the talent of the chef is evident. I'm just highly turned off by the fact that the portion sizes are so small despite being $16-$18 per entree. The samosa chaat appetizer alone was $8 and it was tiny with very few samosa pieces.
The restaurant itself was very cozy and felt authentic.
