| - Was in Vegas for th iHeart Music Festival... BEST Concert Ever!!!
While I started out at a suite at TI, swapped to PH the last 2 days and loved it. Best decision ever... even though it was a little hard to find (not right near the strip) with some PH globe nowhere near the actual hotel...
LOCATION
This was the first time I have stayed in the new City Center and LOVED it. Location is fabulous, love the convenience of stepping outside and being near several dining and shopping options. There is energy and a vibe that is so much more interesting than the old (Venetian / Caesars/ TI etc) area... where you walk for miles just looking at water or sidewalk...
PERKS
The mall is fun, there is free WiFi all over - Starbucks, McDs, etc. Made it uber convenient for getting information on the tablet and phones... prices at all the stores are more reasonable too, because there is so much competition...
Really good eateries and a booklet with promos and coupons that we didnt get to use... seemed like a lot of weight could have been gained, if there had been more time.
Oh, did I mention there is a Ross store close by? Had to checkout the place for backup outfits! ;-)
CASINO
One night coming back from the Cosmo (across the street - nice lounge/club), was intrigued by a cover band playing in the 'Lounge Ax' area... stayed to watch the show, they band played to the audience nicely, trying to engage... and the sporty (referee outfit - incongruous) dressed waitress was very nice, and got us very excellent mojitos.
I think there was a lot more to explore... really liked the clubby rock n roll vibe of the place. Such a welcome change then the stodgy and touristy places I have been going to the previous years.
HALLS & ROOM
Not a fan of the dark and punky colors in the halls.
Room was clean and okay... like dark purple, but I think the memorabilia was not anything great, and the furniture seemed to be arranged a little awkwardly, like there was an end table missing or something. Bathroom was good though.
SUMMARY
Next time, definitely would stay here again... although Cosmopolitan looks really interesting too. Love the SATC decor over there... and I heard the pool lounge area is entertaining... almost like the commercials.
