  • I don't even know where to begin.... We went to Golden Corral because we somehow got a gift card. We decided to take my in laws and niece with us as well. I learned a huge lesson - do NOT go on a Saturday night! It was insane - a long line to get in, children running around everywhere, buffet was a mess. I won't comment on the food that much. I obviously did not expect a Tremont dining experience. However, I will say that the baket potatoes were cooked well, mac n cheese was tasty enough, and I enjoyed the sweet potato fries. My family members enjoyed the chicken and chicken pot pie. My niece loved the ample options for dessert. This place is a child's dream - 2 chocolate fountains, cotton candy, and ice cream! My main complaint was the service. It was very busy, but it took a long time to get a refill on my water. Our table was still a little dirty when we sat down. My husband got buttery corn juice spilled on him when the cook threw the corn on the cobs into the pan. The cook apologized, but it was annoying. Guess who did a load of laundry right when we got home.... I would not go back unless given a gift card or was forced due to family obligation. I would prefer to spend the same amount of money at my local Mexican restaurant. However, for people who likes buffets and traditional American cooking, get ready to pack on the pounds.
