  • Cavin called me back the next day. He apologized for the way I was treated. Then he asked what he could do to make the deal happen. I told him I was already looking into another vehicle and I asked for an out the door price. He said he would call me in 5 minutes, he never did. Not so wonderful anymore. In regards to the dealership's carefully crafted response: apology accepted. However, the employee flat out lied saying the etching is a law. There are police departments here in the valley who offer free etching. One can even buy an etching kit online and do it themselves. The point is this dealership imposes on its customers a $295 fee for something that they can do for free and there is no way to opt out. Of course, they claim they do this for the good of the customer because you see the customer is too stupid to know on their own what is good for them. In essence one is forced to pay $295 to buy an insurance with $2500 payout if the vehicle is not recovered. No thank you, I can get my own coverage. The rigidity of this business model is pathetic. The $995 in accessories WAS for the certification. That car was fully loaded, there were no accessories. Certification is not an accessory. The spin is just unbelievable which leads me to believe the apologies here are for show only. If Jamie Cox really cared I would have gotten a phone call from this individual. The point I made is the car was listed for one price and when I get there, these things were added. There are dealerships who put a disclaimer on their listings such as if you do not need financing or do not finance with them they add $1000. At least they are honest and upfront about it and people respect and appreciate that even if they do not agree with the policy. One of the people in charge at this pretend car dealership should visit Autonation Hyundai. Their facility makes yours look like a 3rd world country. Your answer is full of excuses and posturing. You are blaming Hyundai for your failures!!! The reviews here and elsewhere testify to the lack of customer care and business acumen. The sad part is the Chapman name is associated with other dealerships. The fiasco at this dealership cannot help the rest of the business. I think it is time to call Hyundai headquarters and complain about these people. If you value your hard earned money, spend it somewhere else. Respect is not something you'll get here.
