Now, if you are looking to be a student at this school please read below.
When i started school in August of 2010 it seemed like the place to be. There was an amazing freshman instructor and there were plenty of teachers to help you out whenever you needed them. Now the school has changed a lot while i was attending. They were constantly firing and hiring instructors. The owners of the school knowingly break sate laws and the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology is very familiar with Amy and Gary Waysack who are the owners.
You have theory in the morning from 8-9:30.
After that if you do not have clients or if you are a freshman you are pretty much on your own. The Waysacks cannot pay any of their instructors or their commission stylist who are in the salon attached to the school. Because of that there is one instructor who is supposed to teach the freshman and help all of the seniors that are on the floor. It is an extremely stressful environment to be in and i do not recommend anyone go there if you need any sort of structure.
Due to their lack of funds these people are extremely money hungry. So if you plan on enrolling just be careful because they will try to get money out of you right and left (for example if you miss your mandatory day which is usually a friday or saturday they will charge you fifty dollars). Just know that no other school in Las Vegas does such a thing. I don't assume that after reading this review or the others that are on Yelp that anyone would still have any desire to attend this school. But if you still do even after reading these, you have been given a lot of information so i suggest you choose wisely. The Waysacks put up a fight when you try to withdraw..
