  • In my last review of Portofino I gave them three stars. There were some major holes in the service and with the food (specifically the Osso Bucco). My wife and I were there last on 1/11/2015. (my review is posted under "JF") We decided to try it again. MAJOR IMPROVEMENT! Here is the blow by blow. 1. Seated promptly by a very courteous staff member. We declined the first table but were effortlessly given the table of our choice. 2. Service was prompt and EXCELLENT on all counts. 3. Pasta Fagioli soup was outstanding. Chicken Rollitini and the Agnolotti were delicious. The food was well prepared, well seasoned and served hot. 4. Good value and a beautiful ambiance. The entire experience was excellent and worth the drive if you are a local. Good work Portofino! You take your place as one of the best. p.s. The bread was tasty but some texture in the basked would be great:))) I know everyone has to add 2 cents one way or another::))))
