  • My first impression of San Milan was rocky. It was clearly lunch time and they had just one leasing consultant left in the office. She was assisting future residents that were asking 1000 questions and would not leave. I waited a good 5-10 before it was my turn. What also struck me as odd is the way their leasing office is arranged. They have people stand next to this hotel check-in type desk. Why stand? Feels extremely unwelcoming. The leasing consultant I met with was a nice girl. My only small issue with her is that she was very scripted and robotic. I am not sure if Mark Taylor puts pressure on these girls to read the same script every time but it would be much better if all the details were not rambled on. Make it personal, treat me like someone you are trying to get to know. I felt like if I wanted to talk, I would be interrupting the script. I have no problem with this girl as she was very professional and nice, I just feel like the it could have been a much more casual, personalized sales pitch. On tour I was taken to view the amenities. For a brand new build and all the hype I heard surrounding this place, I was sadly disappointed. Sure everything is nice and new but they are nothing special. When we reached the model apartment and the vacant apartment, I was again left underwhelmed. It was all very nicely appointed with stainless appliances and wood floors but everything new looks exactly the same. I am just annoyed with all these cookie cutter rental communities. I wish Mark Taylor would step up their game. San Milan looks amazing from the outside driving in but left me craving more individuality.
