  • I've always had good service at the Weary Traveler. The waitstaff are generally friendly and knowledgeable, and they seem to take a decent amount of pride in doing a good job. I've been there by myself or with fairly large groups, and in all cases I enjoyed myself. There are a couple items on the menu that make this a must-visit for anyone who can spend a day or two in Madison. The Bob's Bad Breath Burger is a real treat (and worth the hour in the pool I have to spend to work some of it off), and the Walleye Sandwich is without a doubt the best fish sandwich on this planet. It is one of the few walleye sandwiches around that is not breaded. It is broiled to perfection and topped with a tartar sauce-like aioli that complements the flavor of the fish perfectly. It's always nice to have a healthy option that blows everything else on the menu out of the water.
