| - New dessert place specializing in matcha desserts (with the hype of being an authentic, reputable store in Japan) around what now seems like a little Japan in Toronto. While not perfect (ie. long lineups/wait times, extremely limited seating of 4 tables or so, and on the expensive side), the matcha desserts are undeniably tasty and enough to satisfy a sweet tooth.
I recommend getting the large size and sharing (if possible) to get the best value. I was under the impression that the strongest matcha flavor would be in-your-face strong, but it's not. As long as you have drank green tea or anything green tea flavored, you should be able to handle even the "strongest" matcha flavor they have.
The O'Matcha Latte with whipped cream, maple syrup, and salt sounded really fancy, but the drink itself sort of reminded me of Starbucks. It was okay, but not particularly memorable. I recommend the Matcha Float (soft serve ice cream) - the texture was really nice and the matcha flavor really comes through. Great for sharing.
Have not tried other desserts as some were not available/seem overpriced for what you get. And no Wi-Fi (yet), so that's pretty unfortunate.
