| - Hit by a smooth criminal! Yes, the Hummus Bar serves up some of the creamiest, smoothest hummus I have ever dipped, and they have a variety for everyone's pleasure from cilantro to red pepper to beef. Plain hummus costs $5.95, and it is a generous portion.
As the name suggests, the main focus here is hummus. However, they also serve up falafel, a couple of meat skewers and soups. They also have a free salad bar consisting of traditional Israeli salads. (I showed restraint and only sampled two. Both were delicious.)
The falafel are small and super crunchy, and while the flavor was good, I think I prefer a heftier, softer variety. Just a personal preference I am sure.
In addition to the hummus, the fluffy pita and lentil soup were noteworthy, and I would definitely order them again. I would also like to return to sample their baba, tabouli and fatoush (all $2.95). There was also a wide selection of sweets starting at me from behind the counter.
It is a newer business, so they are still working out some kinks. For example, the soda machine wasn't working. Overall though a tasty and affordable lunch spot, and if you're hankering for hummus, you pretty much have to give this spot a shot!
