| - Let me just say...wow! If you're into newer contemporary hotels, this is the place to say. This hotel is nestled in the heart of the financial district (Morgan Stanley is right next door) overlooking the river. My family and I decided to spend the week of Independence Day in AZ. This came up under Marriott properties, but it didn't show up on Yelp. Come to find out this has been only open for 3 weeks! I could totally tell because it had that new smell to it. Everything was pristine. You are greeted by friendly staff members once you enter. To the left of the check-in desk is an area to buy drinks and snacks. Once you walk through the rest of the lobby, you see a nice lounge/TV area, business center, and a full bar.
We got the room with double beds (no view of river) for a VERY reasonable rate. We were both really surprised of how inexpensive it was. Maybe it's because it's summer, and you'd have to be crazy to vacation in 116 degree weather, but I digress....it's a very plain, but nice room. The floors are laminate, which is a +++++++. The bathroom has a large counter, and the vanity mirror has great lighting to put your makeup on. The bed is comfy and they give you a good amount of pillows. The TV has the usually channels, but also has the ability to stream YouTube, Netflix, and Crackle.
The best part was watching the fireworks from the rooftop pool. The temperature of the pool water was perfect, and they even served cocktails. There are 3 cabanas and pool chairs scattered around the pool. You have to get there in time to save a spot.
I'd definitely stay here again!!!!
