rev:text	nice sunny day Dec 26h/2013 plus 1 degrees. Arrive very early . Suddenly a half hour delay. Ninety minutes goes by no word. Ask at desk, no help in fact quite rude! It is the law they must advise by announcement delays, (nothing! ) We have a connecting flight from Washington DC. to Iceland to catch and then Iceland to Manchester, England for a 100th birthday party for my wife's Mom. The pilot says he will try and make up sometime in the air (what a joke!) and then the flight attendant suddenly opens the door again! A young guy doesn't have carry on duffle bag. They end up passing several cell phone photos of baggage for 15-20 minutes to her) no luck! finally we taxi and take off. We land and still have to clear USA customs at least twenty minutes despite lots of people letting us and other in front of them in line, then pick up our bags and clear customs again. Our flight is already long gone! There is nobody around at Iceland AIr for an hour. He takes us down to Porter Air but he doesn't come out for another hour says he is on the phone to Porter Toronto but has no answers! He give us a pass for a hotel . Now 10 pm at night nobody at Porter answering phone. We talk to them the next day which is now Thursday , they don't have another flight until Sunday. NO compensation. We book a $3200 flight with United Air to Manchester one way. We have a nice holiday and on the way home stay in Iceland for four days, another great place! On the way home we land in New Jersey to catch Porter to Toronto and they advise us they have given our flight to the people yesterday that were weather delayed! No compensation for a hotel due to weather delays, Cost us $250 usa for six hours of sleep we have to be at the airport for 6 am to catch the Porter flight home the next day! Honestly , what a joke! just google Porter Airline reviews as see all the unhappy people on Skytrax.....I waited to write this review I just found out the insurance is going to pay us for most of this, we are still out money and it was certaintly stressful and I almost maxed out my visa. Now they want to fly big jets?????
