rev:text	So we went with a group on New year's day (dinner), not eve (31st). The place was pretty dead, maybe 30% occupied (35% max). Service was lousy at best. Food was very ok at best too. Hamachi Ceviche was 5 stars, Taco's de camaronez y chorizo was 5 stars, and one last dish, the cheese/duck plate, awesome (forget the name). Everything else pretty bad, especially the chicken tortilla soup, very bitter and nasty after taste. This is the first Mexican rest. that I have ever been to that charges for chips and salsa, but that was fine since it was a nicer place. The ribs tasted like u swallowed a piece of charcoal and had to breath the after taste for the rest of the night. If you like spicy/flavorful food this might not be your place. Every dish pretty much would feed half a person so you need to order at least 2 per person, which is what the valet told us. I am all up for trying new places, especially award winners, but I would not go back, ever. There are many other places in old town or anywhere for that matter. Oh and one last thing we had one veggie person that was in our group, we asked for the enchiladas with no meat and were told that they were pre-wrapped so they cannot accommodate. I asked for the chef and said please give him the challenge of removing the meat. They are very unaccommodating, so be warned. Plus shouldn't this type of place be making everything fresh. If the service was better, I would think about going back, for a split second then probably would not. We also had three dishes sent to our table twice, we had to have them taken back and removed off of the bill, which took a good 10 minutes, on top of the 30 just to get the check. I do not normally leave reviews, but since my entire decision to go to this place and order most of the items on the menu because of them, I felt compelled. Excuse my grammar and punctuation, I just got back home. The margaritas at the bar in the lobby were the saving grace. I would give this place a single 'one' star but since most of them are 5, I do not think anyone would take this review seriously and would probably think I am some kind of forum/review/web troll.
