I decided to come here based on the positive reviews a d because it's close to home. What a disappointment.
I don't typically leave reviews but since this was the worst pedicure I've ever had, I want others to know what they're in for.
First, if you have ingrown toenails, BEWARE. I get ingrown nails on my big toes and have always had a positive pedicure experience at other salons. The young man who did my pedicure (maybe 18 yrs old?) was very rough when removing them. Even though I kept pulling away in pain saying OUCH! he kept digging in deep with his sharp tools. He also kept making gestures like he was annoyed at how much work it was.
He was also very rough with the leg and foot massage to the point where it hurt. And I'm not a big baby...I can take a lot of pain, but my eyes were watering and my whole body was tense. The only relaxing part was when my feet were in the water.
To make things worse, he sprayed alcohol on my toes ( picture red, swollen toes with open wounds from digging the ingrowns out)! Ouch! Then after the polish went on, he used nail polish remover around my toes (double ouch!). By that point I was so pissed I wanted to slap him.
Regarding the salon: Old, boring, TV blaring with the news on, very un-spa like atmosphere. The massage chairs were OLD and mine only massaged on the left side. The hot rags he used to wipe the lotion off my legs looked old and dirty like my cleaning rags I use at home. Gross.
I will never go back here again.
