  • Finally went to the zoo today after 20 years (last time was on a field trip in high school), but my wife had been wanting to take the kids for a while. Unfortunately, a fair amount of exhibits were closed today. It was a very nice day, but it's February, so I guess you can't fault them on not opening the summer exhibits for one day. They have a pretty decent amount of exhibits here. Some of them look about the same as they did 20 years ago, and perhaps a bit run down, but they had a lot of upgraded and new exhibits as well, so at least they're investing in it. The kids definitely had a lot of fun. I guess my only real complaint would be for a zoo, it's a bit on the pricey side for kids. They gave $1 off for kids, but most other kid friendly places will have a bigger discount.
