This review is about the dessert only. To be honest, I've never actually had the food here -- always come here for dessert.
Let's start by saying that the Frozen Hot Chocolate is magical.
The first time I had a Serendipity Frozen Hot Chocolate was in New York City. I remember it clearly the first time I had one -- the wait to be seated, the shock that there is a minimum charge per person, and the GIANT Frozen Hot Chocolates coming out and instantly regretting not having ordered 1 to share between 2 people. Most importantly, I remember how delicious it was. Imagine an amazing hot chocolate but frozen and then melted down to the perfect temperature so it's like have a smoothie. That's what the Frozen Hot Chocolate is like.
On a hot summer day or even a cool winter night, it'll satiate all of your chocolate desires -- even the hot cocoa ones.
I also have tried some of their other drinks, including the Amaretto Almond Hot Chocolate. I'm going to be honest and just say that I think the classic, Frozen Hot Chocolate is still their best. Definitely their star dish in my opinion.
If you've never been to one of the famous Serendipity restaurants, I'd recommend stopping by for the Frozen Hot Chocolate. You can grab one from the bar window outside if you don't want to sit inside.
