  • Yum! Brasserie V is one of my favorite restaurants in Madison. I had it bookmarked for far too long and am so glad that I've visited.. multiple times. The food here is amazing. Truffle frites. Get 'em. The regular frites are great, but the truffle frites are outstanding. They are a great appetizer to share and for a fair price ($7) given how plentiful they are. Divine. My favorite meal here is the original V Burger. It's smothered in muenster cheese, onion straws, spinach, tomato and aioli, with some high quality beef. I'd tie this burger as best in Madison, next to Sardine's house burger. It's that good. I always order more frites with my meal (generally comes with chips, mixed greens, or the daily side) because I can't get enough of them for just a small up charge. By the looks of their menu, and thanks to mouth-watering pictures on yelp, they also have a burger that comes in different variations with the change of seasons. I'm not much of a drinker but it'd be a shame to dismiss how impressive Brasserie V's beer selection is. Like 250 beers impressive. They also have lots of wine.
