  • If you're ever feeling a little down on a chilly morning, make your way to Big Dog for some time by the coziest fireplace. There are few things better than an americano (I prefer their americano over drip here) and a bowl of oatmeal - with unlimited toppings like fruits and nuts. There's a great outdoor patio, and your dog can join you. What more could you want? Sometimes it can be a little crowded, prices are a little higher than other places nearby, and there aren't many gf snack options. However, Big Dog is a really lovely South Side gem.
