  • On a technical level, this Sheraton doesn't stand out overly much, but makes good grades on all the basics. The beds are comfortable (although the hide-a-bed in the suite was perhaps more spring than padding), and the rooms are clean. They were performing renovations while we stayed, so not all of the services were open, but include a pool and water slide, a restaurant, and exercise facilities (plus others I didn't notice, I am sure). It is an entirely nonsmoking hotel, however that fact might hit you. Our (myself, my father, my three sisters and occasionally other members of my family) personal experience at this hotel was PHENOMENAL. We stayed nine nights while my Mother was in the Foothills Hospital with heart troubles. (The proximity to the hospital is a definite bonus, if'n you need to be close by). The staff was absolutely amazing!! Although there was one particularly exceptional attendant, all of the staff went way beyond expectation to make our time there as comfortable as possible. We were given a special 'family-in-hospital' rate (I'm quite sure that's not what the discount is actually called, but...), checked in late, checked out considerably later than proper checkout time, and were treated with the utmost sensitivity and consideration. The gentleman who runs the convenience/souvenir shop on-site often stayed open just a little bit later for us, we always had extra towels and were even offered rides to the hospital by members of the staff. They enquired morning and night about Mom's progress in the hospital, and one staff member even brought us inspirational and encouraging poetry to help us through a stressful time! There was an incredible human touch to the professional service we received at this establishment, and I cannot be thankful enough!
