I didn't even know there were Hungarian groceries in the City! What a nice surprise to find the Hungarian Honey Bear right in my hood! The tiny weeny shop is in a strip plaza on Sheppard. It's really tiny, but it's between Bayview and Yonge on the South side of Sheppard.
The shop consists of mainly a larger counter/display that spans the entire length of the store. There's a small selection of Hungarian pre-package groceries, but the main attraction (at least for me) was the dessert display! They have a good selection of Hungarian desserts. All the prices are written on the display glass, so even if you don't know what it is and want to try, you won't be surprised when it hits the register!
We tried some coffee liquor dessert. It tasted like the Italian Tiramisu. But the Hungarian version has nuts and raisins and was surrounded by whipped cream. It was actually really good and rich, one small container, which I think costs less than $4, was more than enough for two people!
