  • My wife and I went there for dinner and had the AYCE sushi. The service was great. The waiters and waitresses were friendly. The sushi chefs were easy going. We sat at the counter on a night with not a lot of customers and the food came out promptly. Now the bad news. The sushi quality was not good... but i guess you can't complain if it's ayce? The cooked food was good but it was very filling so I don't recommend it if you are on the AYCE plan. Another problem was that they used the "ajitsuke" nori (the sweet and spicy flavored nori) for the Uni sushi. I don't know if this is "hawaiian style" or they were just plain lazy, but this is the only sushi restaurant that I have been to that uses ajitsuke nori for their "gunkan" sushi. And because of the flavor in the nori, it killed the flavor in the uni. The presentation of the sushi was not like other sushi places too, in a bad way... Even I could probably cut the fish the way the chefs did. It didn't affect the taste, but come on!, they should've taken better sushi-making lessons before they started working behind the counter. If you want to have AYCE sushi, I would recommend Makino, which is cheaper, or Sushi Mon, which tastes better.
