| - We went here on a Sunday, having made reservations. When we got there, they had no record of our reservation. The girl at the front desk said '' I didn't work that night" when I told her the date I had called.
No worries; they had a table. It's not a place for ambiance: plain white walls except for the wavy tin divider wall. But they did have a big flat-screen TV (for that really homey atmosphere). We gave our orders to the waitress, watched other tables get served who came in after we did, and an hour later (yes, really) the food finally came.
They supposedly ran out of food, the kitchen messed up the orders (after we said other tables who came in after us got their food before we got ours), whatever.
The food was pretty good, but at that point we might have thought dog food was good, we were that hungry. We got the combo dinner, said to be for 3-4 people. We had four, and three of us are not big eaters. There was barely enough to go around. The three sides we chose-coleslaw, mashed potatoes, and beans-would really have each served one helping. The cornbread came after the rest of the meal was eaten. I wouldn't recommend this platter for more than 2.
The barbecue was not bad, but it needed a lot of sauce added to make it have much taste and not be so dry.
The "service" was abysmal. We won't go back.
Great name though.
