We are timeshare members with another company and used an exchange to stay here.
After reading the reviews I was really really nervous so I needed to write this review to give others piece of mind. I can only review my area and building which is Building 9 room 3136 which is the newer area and a 1 bedroom with a pullout couch and kitchen with a balcony. It is beautiful! We are really happy! There are no roaches in this room. (Just the first floor at night but people there are huge roaches on the beach in Waikiki.) No bed bugs, towels in your room but there was a crack in our shower so all the smaller towels were used to sop that water up daily. Fresh pool towels at the pool. I had a full blender all parts included, cleaning supply's, a push vac and dust pan with a broom... As far as bellmen this is a timeshare resort not a Hyatt, Hilton or Westin. There is no valet parking and bellhops are far and few in between. You grab a luggage carrier your self and load and unload your belongings... We did it and have two kids...
So not to disregard any previous reviews but rest assure if your in building 9 it's all good
Cons to myself were no bath tub in our room and the key cards were annoying at best. That system really needs to be looked at. We would need to slide our cards a few times before the gate or rooms would open. When your hands are full and it's hot it's not a good thing. Someone else mentioned dropping the Resort and Spa part off the name. This place is neither of those but a solid vacation owner spot. I think resorts and spa raise the bar of expectation and Cibola is not going to deliver at this time. Bar and bar staff was minimal and like others said not too friendly and the second bar near the kids are was just open Saturday I guess. I didn't check out the spa because I'm in the beauty industry and destination places are usually over priced and staff will underperform due to the fact that they see you once and never again... Zero need to retain clients.. I've visited about 10 timeshare hotels and this was was better than decent so if you are still reading I've go again! Peoria is also a great location!
