This place has a fantastic menu and a ton of fairly healthy "American cuisine" type options...salads, chicken sandwiches with elevated toppings like avocado, fresh mozzarella and balsalmic vinegar. I had a chicken caprese sandwich and my companion had a traditional chicken sandwich. For sides, I ordered the steamed veggies and he got the shoestring potatoes because they were out of fruit.
We went on the weekend, so we have to acknowledge that the place was a little busy. However, our primary complaint was that it took forever for food to get out to guests. We sat and observed the cooking process (which I'm pleased was visible to visitors in this cafeteria style restaurant) and noticed that like items were being delivered to different tables instead of full orders being filled. One lady at a large table (who had been there long before us) got her meal almost a half hour after her companions. We assumed it was lucky we both ordered chicken sandwiches or we might not have been able to eat hot food at the same time.
The food was tasty and cheap. I really liked the food. The staff were very nice. The primary complaint was the wait and there were a few other weird things that might be worth noting but I wouldn't avoid a restaurant for these reasons--1) my "steamed veggies" turned out to be a cup of carrots and nothing more (for some reason I think veggie variety when I hear "steamed veggies" but that's me), 2) the restaurant insisted they were out of fruit when there was a bunch of bananas sitting by the register, and 3) the sourdough bread came greasy on my hot sandwich so order it unbuttered if you are sensitive about calories or fat.
