| - I hadn't been here in years. We were in the neighborhood and decided to give it another try. We arrived at 12:00 for lunch right before the lunch crowd came in. We were greeted and seated right away. The restaurant decor hadn't changed, bright nicely decorated and put together. Our waiter came over and introduced himself. Service was very good.
What's lacking is the taste of the food. We skipped the lunch menu and ordered off the regular menu and shared the dishes. We ordered the Coco Chili Fish (flash fried 10 oz. Filet drizzled with a creamy coconut chili reduction sauce, for a collision of sweet and spicy) and the Lettuce Wraps of Minced Pork (Nam Sod) (a blend of minced pork, ginger, red onion, cilantro and ground peanuts tossed in a citrus marinade) and a bowl of Tom Ka Gai Soup (hot & sour soup made with chicken, mushrooms, fresh lemon grass, galanga root, kefir lime leaf & coconut milk. Garnished with fresh cilantro & green onion)
The Soup was not light in taste, very tomato like, thick, though it had a lot of chicken it was like tomato soup, not authentic at all. The fish, though perfectly done and tasted fresh was totally over shadowed by a thick goopy sauce covering the entire dish. There was no hint of sweet and again that thick tomato sauce. The Pork Lettuce wraps were descent probably because it didn't have that thick red tomato sauce piled on. We were very disappointed.
Sorry if you want authentic Thai there are many other choices.
