  • A buddy of mine suggested that we try lunch in Boulder City a place he had heard about from numerous friends and family. Boulder City ??? Great restaurant??? Mutually exclusive. But I'm always looking for excellent hole-in-wall family run places. My GPS indicated that the drive was far less then driving towards the strip on the 215. Before you could say Corned beef and cabbage...the special of the day..we were there .Don't judge this super place from the outside or older shopping center. The menu is without the largest I've seen in a dog's age. If you can't find your favorite you need to see your eye doctor. Be sure to bring your apa..apa..appetite. The corned beef and cabbage was extremely lean with potatoes and carrots.Totally delicious. There are daily specials to please everyone. Half price pizza day...YES. Since a day without dessert is like a day without sunshine...i decided to take the advice of our waiter. Large brownie topped with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Without doubt The very best I've ever had. I think I've found my new favorite place. Btw the service was excellent with a capital E. Well the diet starts tomorrow Be sure to get on their frequent flyer program...as well. Needless to say I highly recommend Johnny Mac's.
