My experience was horrible. I hired Alaskan to do a seasonal tune up on my working unit after seeing a coupon in the paper. The tech said some part he called a contacter was going bad. I authorized him to replace it. While he was installing it he either shorted out something or grounded something, because the entire house lost electricity. The tech couldn't figure out why and had called someone else. The tech finally determined that the breakers must have flipped and reset them. The tech then told me my surge protector was bad. I was very suspicious of this as he knocked out the power and wondered if he did something to it. After the tech left I found the power supply panel open and disassembled! I called the tech and never heard back from him. The next day I called the office and cancelled my maintenance plan that I purchased. I also asked to speak to his supervisor. I was never contacted by a supervisor either. I posted a review for the company through a link they sent me. Almost immediately the office called me and refunded my money. I thank the owner for this but still wonder if the tech actually performed the tuneup because it doesn't seem like he was up there long enough to do a 40 point inspection and coil cleaning before he was back down to tell me my connecter was bad, damaged my surge protector etc. I now have to have someone else come out to do a tune up and check to see if my surge protector was damaged.
