  • Always a nice novelty to have freshly prepared cream puffs, I really can't think of any other standalone places to experience this in the GTA! My friends thought this was a pretty unexpected location for these lil desserts, but then again, shops at Pacific Mall seem to almost open and close on rotation, so I'm happy that Beard Papa's seems to be seeing enough success from the curious that it's here to stay. There were three flavours of fillings when we paid a visit - vanilla, wild berry, green tea - I'm told that they change it up quite often, though. The group consensus was that although the insides of our puffs were perfectly smooth and mild, the choux pastries just weren't airy enough to complement it. They seemed suspiciously cold and dense to me, like they had been refrigerated beforehand. Good enough when the craving calls, but I wouldn't journey all the way uptown just for these unless bootleg DVDs, phone accessories, and badminton gear were also on my shopping list.
