A day trip to the Science Centre is always a fun and educational experience. It's built over 6 levels into the side of the Don Valley which adds to the charm of the building. There are many different exhibits catering to many different ages and interests including nature, the human body, materials and space.
My personal favourite is the space exhibits that contain rocks from the Moon and a Martian meteorite as well as a planetarium and cloud chamber demonstrating cosmic rays.
There's an IMAX theatre which has a massive surround screen that shows a variety of films on numerous subjects such as the oceans, butterfly migration, building the railway through the Rockies and dinosaur. Tickets are an additional fee to the entrance fee unless you have one of the higher levels of membership.
