  • Went here based on the generally very good reviews. We normally go to Texas de Brazil and wanted to compare the two. It's in a very strange location (an awkwardly located office park/complex) and kind of looks like a doctors office on the outside, and could be difficult to find at night. First, Green Forest get 5 stars for service and friendliness. I cannot stress enough how great the entire staff was. Texas de Brazil's service is always very so-so and sometimes downright bad. Service is where Green Forest shines! Since you're coming here for the meat, let's talk about that... The selection and variety at Green Forest is awesome and they are cooked extremely well. I always feel that Texas de Brazil is extremely salty and over seasoned and this isn't the case here. GF wins in this category. The biggest disappointment at Green Forest were the sides. While not bad, they just weren't great and Texas de Brazil does it better. After pouring through yelp reviews and seeing all the pictures and reviews about lobster mashed potatoes, lobster rice, sushi, seafood salads etc, Green Forest had none of these items on our recent visit and instead had mediocre things such as plain rice, plain mashed potatoes, mushy over cooked shrimp and a few other items. Don't get me wrong, they were ok, but didn't come close to living up to our expectations. At more than $100 for dinner for two, the sides should be much more impressive (maybe they are on some nights?) Overall, Green Forest is very good and the service is the best I've had at ANY restaurant and that goes a long way with me. Priced similarly to Texas de Brazil, perhaps we caught them on an off night, but If they would step it up on the sides Green Forest would be a real home run.
