| - I always felt Aaron Brothers was a bit overpriced for what they offered. If you don't have a 50% coupon from a flier or their website, I wouldn't dream of using them for framing.
But this last time, I did have a coupon. I needed to get something framed, and they were by far the closest option. So I brought a couple paintings into the store. They said it would take 7 - 10 days. I get a call two weeks later that my framing is done on one of the projects, but that it wasn't quite right.
This was a "floating" frame, where the painting sits within the frame. The painting was completely off center, and it looked awful. I mentioned that the frame didn't fit the painting properly, to which they responded that the frame was "perfect", it was my painting that was flawed. I mentioned that they may not quite understand the point of a frame, and they quickly apologized.
I got a refund, and have now taken to painting to a place that assures me they will not have this same issue. But something that should have taken about a week will now take over 3 weeks.
I gave them a two star because the second painting came back looking OK. It's not earth shattering, and they wouldn't even fully wrap the painting before I left (they said they didn't have enough cardboard), so I have to drive it home bare.
I will also add the people are friendly, just not especially talented, or take any pride in their work. This is the fast food of framing, without the fast food pricing. You're better off looking for local company for your framing needs.
