It's not often I write a bad review, but 24 hours later I am still bothered by both the service and food at the new Molson Brewhouse at the Calgary Airport.
I ordered the Cobb Salad. The chicken was overly preserved to the point it had a salty, gelatinous texture you expect to find in fast food restaurants. The salad vegetables were wilted and 'old' around the edges and the eggs had obviously been sitting in brine. The croutons were straight out of a DIY salad kit. To top it off the waitress was abrupt and rushed, even though the restaurant was basically empty. She didn't ask me how my meal was, and I figured it was because they weren't proud to serve it.
I never have the highest expectations of airport food, but I was resentful of being charged $15 for a salad that would have been prepared better at McDonald's for $5. I should have just ordered a beer ... but too late for that, I won't be going back.
