The hotel is new and very nice. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. I have no issue with the physical hotel at all, my 3 star rating is because of the staff and their lack of willingness to assist us when we needed it. Let me explain.
Around 10pm the people above us sounded like they were playing g lawn darts. No lie, it sounded like they were playing lawn darts for hours. On top of that the people next to us starting fighting around 10:30. The guy was yelling and cursing at a female in the room and at one point it sounded like he smacked her and threw her against the wall. I went downstairs to tell the guy at the front so he could at least check on the welfare of the guests and he looked like he could care less. I had to tell him to call the cops or at least go check on them to make sure she was ok. He reluctantly said he would and gave me a state like "why are you bothering me with this". Around 2am they finally stopped fighting and quieted down. There were a couple of periods where they would quiet down for 5 minutes or so but it was pretty much ongoing.
In the morning (4 hours later at 6am) I went down for some coffee and I saw the same guy at the front desk and he asked how I slept and you can imagine my response. He stated he went up and didn't hear anything so he went back down. I am not sure where he went but it was so loud when my wife looked out the door to see what was going on, other people were asking about it as well as they were walking by.
Needless to say, I think they should have done more. Not only taking me serious so we could get some sleep but checking on the welfare of their guests. Someone could have been in real trouble and this guy didn't seem like he cared at all which was evident by the ongoing noise until 2am.
I am on the fence if I will ever stay here again. This was probably one of the worst night sleeps I have had in 10 years and I would have to question the knowledge and training of the staff if something were to happen to a guest.
