| - You certainly have a choice when it comes to metaphysical shops, spiritual stores, whatever you care to call them. I lived in Los Angeles quite a while, and there is surely no shortage there, either. But NEVER, not ONCE, have I ever walked into one that didn't feel like they were just there to make a buck. Yes, we all have to make a living, but when you genuinely care about what you're doing or are offering, and you have people working in your store who are so knowledgeable and kind, that makes me WANT to patronize a business. That keeps me coming back and sending my friends.
Beth was behind the counter when we walked in and immediately she engaged. Not with the usual hi how are you, but she commented on something we were already discussing when we stepped in. She seemed like she was happy to join the conversation.
I called prior to coming in to ask if she would have time to give me a little information on some items I had. She welcomed the task. And was just as gracious when I told her I was the person who'd called. Immediately she was present.
The store was not crowded but always busy. Yet I never felt slighted or rushed. Somehow every person was tended to with the same attention as the next.
We ventured into deeper conversation and a beautiful young man who had been listening to us, was only too happy to impart his knowledge on the subject as well. They worked well together and I was impressed. I felt like no question I had was stupid, I felt that I walked away with more than I had asked for, and from people who genuinely cared about sharing as much information as they had.
I went to an event they sponsored at the store about a week later and I intend to come to more. Edwin and Beth made a good team that day, I'm glad I met them. They each had alot of understanding on different things and were eager to lend me some of their wisdom. Opinions were handed out as well but I never felt like anyone was trying to sway me. They respected that I need to decide for myself and I think that's so important. Edwin seemed to understand me and he helped me with some things I hadn't even inquired about. Neither of them seem like they don't enjoy their work or their life. Yanno when you walk into a business, and you just sense that the people there wish they were somewhere else, or worse, that YOU weren't there either?? How many times have I thought to myself that someone should not come to work if they really wanted to be elsewhere. I didn't get that impression AT ALL.
There's also a wonderful, faint, peaceful aroma when you walk in. Not that traditional thick smoky ashy incense smell. It feels light and calming. Put me in a mood to receive, I would say. I wanted to listen and they wanted to share. I like this environment. I made some purchases and was not once pushed to do so. Beth was very willing to give me the info I needed and as far as she knew, I could have left with just that. Edwin had no obligation to spend so much time to answer my questions, (the ones I asked, as well as the ones I didn't) And like I said, no potential customer seemed to be ignored or waiting impatiently. It's like a bunch of good neighbors. Polite and helpful every one! At times it was a caucus in there. Other potential customers felt comfortable sharing in other conversations. What a nice atmosphere. The store is abundant with trinkets, baubles, stones, books, all filled with enlightenment and purpose, and each more beautiful than the next. The knowledge & respect for everything offered is the thing that stands out most. And that didn't cost a thing. Small, unassuming, pleasant ... exactly what you should expect in this type of environment. Kudos, blessings and prosperity. Come here, you won't be disappointed. Look them up online. Check out the calendar ... I'm absolutely certain you will be happy you did.
