  • It is very difficult to find honest mechanics. I have gone to Stohos for minor things (oil changes etc.) but what really sold me was the fact that they helped me with a problem I had with an auto chain (which I'll refer to as AC). I chose to go to AC to do a Drive Clean test, which was a HUGE mistake. I was unaware that Stohos also does the Drive Clean test. I failed the test at AC and they could not suggest anything to fix because none of the suggestions were approved Drive Clean repairs. That didn't stop AC from wasting over 7 hours of my time spread over two days and telling me I needed to make $450 repairs. I knew something was wrong with the story as they had charged me for a $200 diagnostic but no report. After my patience wore out and not having a straight response about the diagnostic report (other than a written one line comment I was shown), I finally asked for my keys and went to Stohos after calling and explaining my dilemma to them. At Stohos, I asked the owner George to do the test but he told me that he would have to charge me for tests all over again and didn't want me to waste my money. Instead, he coached me and told me what I needed to say and do at AC. Upon returning to AC and using the info George gave me, I had my car certified within the hour. Stohos helped me without monetary gain. They have earned my trust. I know where I'm going next time to service my car. Thanks George.
