I've been living in Vegas about 9 years now and going to this Gentle Dental location for pretty much that entire time. For the most part, had good experiences all-around. Seems like every couple of years or so they switch out doctors and staff which can be a little frustrating but everyone I've dealt with has always been professional and knowledgeable so that's made up for it.
Reason I'm knocking a couple of stars off, though, is because my last appointment was a bit of a wreck. Showed up after I got off work at the end of the day before my scheduled time and after I signed in and sat down in the waiting room about 3 or 4 staff members were calling it a day and walking out the front door. This resulted in my time spent there overall being about double what it should have been since they no longer had the workers needed to keep up with the number of patients who were there waiting. I could overhear the one doctor on staff himself complaining about the fact that none of those workers who left could stay behind to help out.
By the time the doctor finally got around to me it had been well over an hour wait and all that I'd gotten done was x-rays and a mediocre polishing job in place of the full cleaning I thought I had been scheduled for. On top of that, this new doctor I'd never met before gave me a bit of an over-diagnosis that included 5 fillings and 2 crowns and he told me I would need to come in for a checkup every 4 months (instead of the usual 6) until he was convinced I was brushing my teeth properly. Having always taken very good care of my teeth and never needing more than an occasional filling I knew something about his evaluation was off and decided to go to another dentist recommended by friends and with an excellent reputation for a second opinion. Sure enough, no crowns needed and only a few of my older fillings need replacing. So glad I trusted my instincts. If I'd gone with what the doctor at Gentle Dental told me I would have paid a good amount of money for work on my teeth that didn't need to be done!
Hopefully they have another turnover soon and get a better doctor back in there again. Of course, I'm feeling a lot better about the new dentist I'm going to so chances are I'll stick with them from now on.
