| - This is going to be a mixed review, so please bear with me...
I've been to Judit's spa for 2 bikini waxes, one about a year ago, and the other maybe 6 months before that. both times, Judit herself did my waxes. She's lovely & sweet, and a consummate professional. The salon itself is clean, well-lit & pleasantly appointed, with soft mood music playing. All the staff I've ever interacted with have eben kind & welcoming.
I have very sensitive skin with coarse, thick body-hair. Despite Judit telling me all about the special "more gentle" type of hot-wax they use that is much "easier on the skin" than typical waxes, I experienced some very bad results from both my waxes. While the waxing process itself was well done and as painless as it's possible to make a bikini wax, within a few days of each wax, I developed multiple *badly* ingrown hairs that took *months* to grow out/heal, and have resulted in scars. (Please note that I've had maybe two dozen bikini waxes over the last 5 years at about 4 or 5 different spots, and this is the only time I've experienced ingrown hairs like this after a wax.) It's possible I had some type of unusual reaction to the wax they use, but given I've never had a problem at any other place using any other type of wax, I can only say that I won't be getting any future waxes at Judit's. :-/
Now, the GOOD: About 5 weeks ago, a friend took me and herself to Judit's to treat us both to birthday pedicures. Judit did mine, and the main nail tech (I don't know her name, but she is probably late 40's with dark brown hair) did my friend. Both of us were incredibly happy with the entire pedi process! We were sat in their warming/vibrating seats, first had a warm & bubbly foot bath, then we each got a buffing of our rough spots, followed by a mini foot massage with lotion, after which our feet were "bagged" and put in this heated slipper-type thing. There was much time and attention paid to each step of the process, from buffing to cuticle trimming to nail shaping, and finally, the polish. They definitely don't rush - we were there well over an hour, all told!
We were running off to another appointment, and though Judit cautioned us not to put our shoes back on immediately after sitting under their drying machine, my friend didn't listen to her. she put her shoes on, and in the car a bit later, discovered she had smooshed two of her freshly polished toes. She was really upset, and popped back into Judit's to she if she'd mind fixing it. Judit actually *insisted* that my friend let her re-do both toes, had her sit under the dryer again, made *sure* she walked out in their disposable flip-flops, and of course didn't charge anything for the touch-up (even though it was my friend's fault). Overall, both my friend and I were VERY happy with the pedicure experience!! :-D
