| - The drink menu was great, the ambience was fun, and it seems like a good place to go with a group of fun-loving people.
We ordered some elaborate spiked milkshakes (kudos to the barmaid for arranging them with such finesse) and a couple of beers. For the appetizer, we had the mac 'n cheese wontons with spicy marinara sauce on the side, and it was pretty good. I ordered some ribs, which were delicious and came with a wonderful side of coleslaw. I didn't care for the match-stick fries, which were soggy at best. My dinner-mates enjoyed the salmon, chicken salad, and one of their many burgers. The burger was impressive to look at and a challenge to eat, however, it was only passable since the patty itself was mediocre. Finally, the portion sizes are great, which is a bit of a shame for us because we had no room for dessert. There's always another time, I suppose!
Overall, the food was presented very well and tasted fairly good. I wasn't blown away, but I also wasn't disappointed.
A quick tip: If you're a group of 6 or more, make reservations. Unfortunately, they don't make reservations for smaller groups, so it pays to show up early. It took our party of 4 about 30 minutes to be seated, but we were happy to drink a bit at the bar while we waited.
