  • Best. Gym. EVER. Seriously, this place is great! It has everything you need to get your booty (or muffin top, or jiggly thighs, etc.) back in it's proper place. There's the basic stuff that every gym has..the plethora of treadmills, ellipticals, bikes and basic weights. But what really makes this gym one of a kind is the rest of the equipment that you don't find at other gyms and honestly, the people. Trust me when i say, i looked at pretty much every other gym in the Stow, Hudson and Beachwood areas in hopes of finding a gym closer to home or work (Live in Stow, work in Beachwood) but no other gyms are as well equipped in terms of strength training equipment, convenient class schedules, hours of operation and, this is going to sound crazy, but even decor. Yes, the decor was important to me. how can one be expected to keep their energy levels up during strenuous activity for long periods of time while being surrounded by stark white walls and dingy old carpet as is the case in many gyms?? if i wanted to be surrounded by that then i'd just take a trip to a doctors office and call it a day! So, admittedly, one of the first things that won me over when walking in the door was all the color. The walls are all an array of bright bold colors. The floors are painted concrete in the front and cardio areas and a recycled rubber through the strength training areas. It has a very modern and trendy feel to it and i really feel like it does help to keep you pepped up through your training :) So, when i made the decision to join this gym, i was your normal, fairly shy, "just started working out again after a year+ haitus so i'm slighty self consious about my extra baggage right now" type of gym goer. However, once i became "a regular" (for lack of a better term) and was going 4 to 5 times per week, the other regulars randomly started introducing themselves to me, chatting with me about training stuff and encouraging me to do different things to help me reach my fitness goals. NOTE: all the things reccomended to me were healthy ways to get/keep fit. While there are a lot of competitors that train there, almost all of them compete in Natrual competitions so no one is pushing steriods or any other craziness like that in this gym. My "gym-friends" as i call them now, reccomended everything from adding strength training to my routine (and they even took the time to show me the proper form of pretty much every exercise out there, even the most basic stuff, without laughing at me too much while i tried and failed at the first attempts at them all, lol) to adding more yoga and drinking a gallon of water a day so that i don't get as sore. They are just all around great people. Long story short, within 8 months of joining this gym, i have made a bunch of new friends, started training as though i am going to compete (still haven't decided if i have the balls to get on stage though, lol) and have recruited a couple of my other friends to join. I love this place!!
