So we have stayed at the Mandarin properties several times, including in Barcelona and Boston. The Las Vegas property is a poor representation of the brand. We checked into our room. The drapes were drawn, midday, no accent lighting or music in the room, absent was the lovely scent we have come to expect of the Mandarin.
Time to go to the pool the following day. The pool is shut down for a modeling shoot at 10am in the morning, on Spring Break, If guests choose to stay in the area they were forced to be seated in on the far end of the pool in a shaded area. Terrible.
The Glassdoor on the toilet is glass with an obscure finish that's totally see-through when the light is on - huge miss!
Overall the service by the hotel staff was very good, but the hotel seemed like a Vegas knock-off of a great brand.
