We had five bridesmaids fly in from out of town to pick their dresses out and get measured. We were told that if we put down a deposit we can get 20% off. Four of the bridesmaids put down their deposit and one paid in full. We received the same email as other posters have described stating that they are closed and that there is no operating capital for refunds.
I was driving by there at around midnight on the June 8th so I thought I would swing by and see if there was a note or anything on the door. The store was fully stocked and just appeared to be closed for the evening. I went back to the store at 11:30 am on June 8th and the store was completely cleaned out. Luckily a news crew from CBS 5 was there so I got to tell them my story on camera. I was also informed that they had contacted the dress designers and Twirl never even placed the orders. They simply took the money and ran.
Falin and Olivia you need to contact your bank or credit card company and explain the situation. Everyone in our bridal party was able to get a refund because of the frauds at Twirl. If you need to take legal action the company info including owners names and addresses can be found on the Arizona Corporation Commission website.
DO THE RIGHT THING TWIRL!! GIVE PEOPLE THEIR MONEY BACK!!!! YOU HAVE HASSLED AND DISRUPTED MANY PEOPLE BECAUSE OF YOUR FRAUDULENT ACTIONS!!
I certainly hope these two don't try to open another business in this town. This won't be forgotten any time soon.
